5. Project Description:
Provided a state of the art PC/PLC based control system for a large detention center in Maryland. Graphical user interface for Operators is via a Client/Server Touchscreen system. Multiple Touchscreens are located strategically throughout the facility. Operators are able to open/close cell doors, perform group release, acknowledge alarms, direct intercoms and cameras, and monitor duress indications. System includes a highly available, hot redundant PLC system. Workstations and PLCs are networked using Ethernet.

Technology Components:
Dell Pentium II PCs, GE Fanuc 90-30 PLCs with hot redundancy, Ethernet (10 Base T) networking, Genius LAN, ADI graphic panel with LED and switches, 4.5 KVA UPS system, Door Control Graphic Console, TOA intercom system, Burle CCTV system, Windows NT 4.0, GE Fanuc Cimplicity HMI, GE Fanuc LM90 PLC programming software, AutoCAD 14.
