Prior to forming E-Merge, he worked for more than seven years for a systems integration company. He held business development, divisional management and project engineering positions. As the Director of Business Development, he helped build a $10 million controls and instrumentation group focusing on the Water/Wastewater industry. His responsibilities included proposal preparation, bidding, estimation and formation of strategic alliances with various vendors and contractors.

He served as primary technical contributor on engineering projects, including distributed computing environments/client-server implementations for municipal Water/Wastewater treatment plants. Technologies utilized included workstation based SCADA Systems, ODBC databases and PLCs networked with fiber optics using TCP/IP Ethernet protocol.

Inderdeep Huja holds a Masters Degree from the University of Virginia as well as a B.S. (Mechanical Engineering) from University of Poona in India. At the University of Virginia, he performed research in the area of CAD/CAM, specifically in Design for Manufacturability and Feature Based Design. Prior to pursuing graduate school, he worked for Siemens, where he assisted in various shop floor automation projects.

At E-Merge he is responsible for customer relationships and corporate direction.

His interests lie in applying component technologies in linking manufacturing/shop floor systems to ERP systems, such that corporations can truly realize their bottom lines in a real time manner.
